Australian Government Bans Zimbabwe Cricket Tour
The Australian government has banned the Australian cricket team from playing and touring Zimbabwe. The case was made from the government to stop the Australian cricket team from touring the troubled African country, because the tour can be used as propaganda fodder from the Mugabe government. It is outrageous for the Howard government to use the Australian cricket team as political fodder, a course of action equal to the charge of propaganda given to the Zimbabwe government. The banning of the Australian cricket team does in no way hurt the Zimbabwe government, but hurts the heart of the already demoralized people of Zimbabwe. The game of cricket is one thing they can love and enjoy amongst so much oppression, and for that to be attacked from the Australian governments is disgraceful.
